One Day Retreat: The Whispers of Love

Throughout our daily life there are whispers of love, whispers that tell us we are not alone, whispers that tell us we are a part of something greater, something deeper than how things may appear during the hurriedness of daily life.  There are whispers that remind us that every moment of our life, we have been loved into being, never separated from our deepest nature.  They come to us in expected and at times unexpected ways: watching a beautiful sunset, hearing a bird’s song, looking into the eyes of a loved one, looking into the eyes of a stranger.  Regardless of the word you use to refer to the source of these whispers (God, Buddha nature, Tara, Adonai, spirit of life, and on and on), the calling is the same…to awaken to our true nature.  You are invited to join me, during this one day retreat, to see how we might listen more fully, through silence, through the experience of the gardens and views of the West Virginia country side, and through our encounter of each other.

Directions From Wheeling: Take I-70 East towards Washington PA.  Travel about 10 miles, pass the Cabella’s exit and get off at the Dallas Pike exit.  Turn right at the end of the ramp on to Dallas Pike.  Drive 2.5  miles (past J&B bar and Baptist Church).   You will then cross a creek and head up a steep hill.  At the top of the hill turn into the second drive on the left where you will see a sign for Serenity Meditation Garden.   Parking for the garden is in the fenced area at the top of the hill.  You may park there or along the drive.

From Pittsburgh:  Expect about an hour drive.  Take I-376 West (Old I-279 South)  to

I-79 South, towards Washington PA.  At Washington get on I-70 West towards Wheeling.  Cross the state line and take the first exit, Dallas Pike.  Turn left at the end of the ramp on to Dallas Pike, then follow above.
